-Breathe in to a count of 4,
-Hold 2-3-4
-Breathe out 2-3-4
-Hold 2-3-4.
Repeat at least 3x, preferably 5.
Stop and Notice how you feel:
Where in my body am I feeling this uncomfortable feeling?
Would a heating pad/bath/glass of cool water or cup of tea help?
What can I control?
What can I let go of?
How can I help myself?
Journal these results and think about times that you DID have results to help yourself.
Splash cool water on your face
Take a shower/bath
Listen to calming music on headphones
Dance around (with/without your family)
Work a puzzle
Read/listen to uplifting podcasts
TURN OFF the Tv-set a time to watch only for updates.
